Abstract :1968 yılında 34 yerli ve 32 yabancı menşeli hıyar çeşidi ile tesis edilen introduksiyon denemesinde ümitli görülen 6 uzun silindirik (Langa tipi) hıyar çeşidi 1968 de verim denemesine alınmış ve 6 no.lu Langa (Balıkesir) hıyarı çeşit safiyeti, meyve tecanüsü, verim ve pazar değerinin diğerlerinde iyi oluşu bakımından ön üretmeye alınması uygun görülmüştür.
