Abstract :Third-party logistics (3PL) providers have become indispensable partners in modern supply chains, offering expertise that helps organizations manage increasingly complex and globalized operations. As Industry 4.0 technologies reshape logistics, companies are expected to work with 3PL providers capable of supporting digitally integrated, responsive, and data-centric supply chain processes. However, there is still a noticeable lack of decision-making frameworks that incorporate Industry 4.0 dimensions into the 3PL selection process. To address this need, the present study proposes a combined multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model for identifying the most suitable 3PL providers within an Industry 4.0 environment. The Entropy method is applied to compute objective weights for the evaluation criteria, while the WASPAS method is used to assess and rank the provider alternatives. Based on the WASPAS results, A4 (Qᵢ = 3.214) was identified as the most suitable 3PL provider. A1 (3.149) and A5 (3.105) also emerged as strong candidates, while A2 and A3 received lower scores, indicating a weaker alignment with the company’s digital transformation and Industry 4.0 objectives. By integrating these methods, the proposed model offers a systematic and efficient solution to support firms in selecting 3PL providers that align with their digital transformation goals.
