Abstract :19. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren Kazak lehçesi yazı dili haline gelmiştir. O günden başlayarak Kazak lehçesiyle meydana getirilen edebiyat da yazılı Kazak edebiyatı olarak nitelendirilir. Modern Kazak edebiyatının ilk ve en önemli temsilcisi ise Abay Kunanbay’dır.
