Abstract :Bu makalede, bir yerleşim adı olan Mastaura’nın aslen Lydia dili ile bağlantılı olabileceği belirtilmektedir. Mysia’daki bir köy adı olan diğer bir Mastaura’nın kökeni de Lydialılara dayanmış olabilir. Lykia’da piskoposluk merkezi olarak görünen başka bir Mastaura için de durum böyle olabilir, bununla birlikte bu, ancak bu yerleşimin Kabalis’te yer almış olmasıyla mümkündür, fakat bu da oldukça belirsizdir. Yak. 1200 yıl önce belgelenmiş bir Batı Anadolu şahıs ismi olan Masturi ’nin bu yerin ismiyle bir bağlantısı olabilir.
