Abstract :Asia Eyaleti Gümrük Yasası Augustus Dönemi’nde, İ.Ö. 17 yılı consul’leri Gaius Furnius ve Gaius Iunius Silanus tarafından büyük bir ihtimalle gözden geçirilmiş ve güncellenmiştir. Doğu’ya yapmış olduğu son seyahat sırasında Asia’daki yerleşimler ve bunların sıkıntıları hakkında doğrudan bilgi sahibi olma fırsatı bulan Augustus’un, adı geçen consul çiftine şahsen pek çok düzeltme, ekleme ve açıklama önerisinde bulunmuş olması da mümkündür: Mültezimlerin vergiden muaf tutulan insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(daimi veya geçici olarak); şahıs veya topluluklara müdahalelerine getirilen kısıtlamalar özellikle belirtilmektedir.
