Abstract :İstanbul\`un 16 Mart 1920 günü İtilâf Devletleri tarafından işgali, Millî Mücadele’nin bir dönüm noktasını teşkil ettiği kadar, hem Atatürk\`ün 19 Mayıs 1919\`dan bu tarihe kadar olan kurtuluş faaliyetlerinin işgalci devletler üzerindeki etkisini göstermesi ve hem de, işgalci devletler arasındaki, rekabet ve menfaat mücadelelerini ortaya koyması bakımından, Millî Mücadele\`nin önemli bir olayını teşkil etmektedir.
