Hb and Hct values of the examined were measured on the apparatus called Elektro-mag, M 19 Microbaeınatokrit centri11ıge İn the Athleıes' Health Center at the Department of Yol/th and Sports of Bursa. 72.8% of the examined were men (n=633), 27.2% - women (n=237), 69.4% - athletes (0=603) and 30.6% - ordinary people with sedentary lifestyle (n=267). To evaluate the research data according to gender and involvement İn sports the "t" test has been applied, whereas "One-Way ANOVA" test have been applied to compare values of athletes belonging to different spoı1 branches and to detennine which sport branch is shows the most different values, respectively. Mean Hct values of men and women participaring in the studyare 41% and 37.9% respectively (pO.O)). lt can be concluded that Hb and Hct values are lower in women compared with men and in athletes compared with sedentary-lifestyle people.
