Abstract :This study aimed to evaluate the economic productivity of the businesses in the BIST SME index and to determine the relationship between them and stock return rates. The economic productivity of businesses was obtained by taking the ratio of sales in the Income Statement and the cost of goods sold. The return rates of the businesses were included in the analysis based on the value obtained by taking the natural logarithm of the year-end closing prices of the businesses\\\' stocks compared to the previous year\\\'s closing prices. For that purpose, the financial statements containing the financial data of the businesses included in the research were obtained from the Public Disclosure Platform (PDP) between 2012 and 2022. The productivity and returns of the businesses were calculated from the data obtained. The relationship between the productivity and returns of businesses was investigated using panel data regression analysis in the study. When the analysis results were assessed, considering the significance level of the model, it was determined that there was a statistically significant and positive relationship between the economic productivity ratio and the rate of return (RoR). In other words, it was concluded that an increase in the economic productivity rate of businesses (P) included in the SME index by one unit would result in an increase in the rate of return by 0.70.Keywords : Economic efficiency, logistics, panel data regression, rate of return
