Abstract :Who the stakeholders are and how to identify them has long been a hot issue in the field of management and organization. Among various theories, we have selected Joanne Burrows’ multiple lens approach and Ronald K. Mitchell, Bradley R. Agle, and Donna J. Wood’s stakeholder identification and salience theory. After examining various stakeholder groups, we analyzed governments, parents and students, board of trustees, presidents and administrators, faculty and staff, and communities and donors using Mitchell, Agle, and Wood’s stakeholder identification and salience theory.
