Abstract :The tourism industry is recognized as one of the largest and most productive economic sectors globally, capable of creating the highest amount of added value and directly and indirectly impacting other economic and cultural activities. This research examines the impact of tourism in border areas and examines objectives such as border development, sustainable tourism, tourism development strategies and capacities, prospects and opportunities in this area, as well as challenges and problems related to tourism. Also, the role of tourism in the economic development of border areas is the focus of this research. The research methodology used in this article is meta-synthesis and descriptive. The current study is based on the premise that the tacit knowledge of specialists and experts in the field of tourism can help identify opportunities, problems, and challenges in this area. It can also achieve a more comprehensive analysis of the state of tourism in border areas and provide effective solutions for improving and developing this industry. The results of this study show that the challenges and solutions related to the tourism industry can be divided into the categories of macro-management and policymaking, culture, human resources, infrastructure, advertising, and investment. Finally, improving the state of the tourism industry requires the country\\\'s policymakers and planners to be aware of the existing challenges and include them in national macro-plans, as well as the public\\\'s determination to develop this high-potential industry.
