Abstract :This study is intended to review some of the studies carried out on students' understandings of heat and temperature. The review puts together the important findings of the studies, summarises the misconceptions identified so far and the possible sources of these misconceptions. Therefore, this study would be beneficial for researchers and lecturers in science education area and for science teachers.
