Abstract :Kök hücreler, kendilerini yenileme özelliğine sahip, özelleşmiş hücrelere farklılaşabilen, vücut içinde veya laboratuvar ortamında uygun şartlar sağlandığında birçok farklı hücre tipine dönüşebilen farklılaşmamış hücrelerdir. Bu derlemede, kök hücrenin tipleri, önemi ve uygulama alanları kısaca ortaya konulmuştur.
