Abstract :Özet:   Bu çalışmada güdülen amaç, Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyesi yönetim sınırları dahilindeki liselerde görev yapan coğrafya öğretmenlerinin, kimi profil özellikleri ile söz konusu okullardaki coğrafya eğitimine yönelik teknolojik donanım durumunu analiz etmektir. Bu amaçla, 16 lisede görev yapan toplam 26 coğrafya öğretmenine, 30 dolayında anket sorusu uygulanmış (02 Nisan 2003’de), bunlara verilen cevaplar analiz edilerek, kimi sonuçlara ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bir yandan denek sayısının azlığı ve öbür yandan da araştırma alanının dar tutulması, ulaşılan sonuçların güvenilirlik ve geçerlilik sorununu ortaya çıkarabilir. Bu güçlüğe karşın, yine de araştırma, en azından Erzurum il merkezi liselerindeki coğrafya eğitimi konusunda bize bir fikir verebilmektedir. Çünkü, saptanan olumluluk ve sorunların doğruluğu konusunda, her hangi bir kuşkumuz yoktur. Gerçekten de, uygulanan anket soruları açık uçlu sorular olup, arzu eden öğretmenlerin, kimliklerini açıklamamaları esnekliği kendilerine tanınmıştır. Araştırmada ulaşılan sonuçlar, coğrafya öğretmenlerinin kişisel profillerini az-çok belirtmesi yanında; coğrafya eğitimi açısından liselerin teknolojik donanımı sorununa da, ışık tutmaktadır.   Anahtar Kelimeler: coğrafya Eğitimi, teknolojik donanım, öğretmen profili Some Profile Features of the Geography Teachers in the High Schools of Erzurum and the Technological Equipment Towards Geography Education in These Schools Abstract:   The purpose of this study is to anlysis some profile features of the geography teachers of high schols within the location of Erzurum Municipality and the status of the technological equipment towards the geography education in the schools mentioned. For this purpose, nearly 30 items of questionnaire to 26 geography teachers of 16 high schools were applied (02 April 2003), analyzing the replies concerned it was attempted to reach some conclusion.   Due to insufficent number of subjects, and since the research domain was kept limited, there may be some problems in terms of reliability and validity. However this research can evoke some ideas about geography education within, at least, the high schools in Erzurum city center. Because we have no doubt about the pozitiveness fixed and the accuracy of the problems. İn that , the questions   in the form were open-ended questions and, as they wished, the teachers could hide their identities. The conclusions in the research both partly explain the personal profils of the geography teachers, and enlighten the problems of the high schools technological equipment in terms of geography education.
