Abstract :Özet: Kağızman İlçesi idari bakımdan Kars iline bağlı olup, ülkemizin Doğu Anadolu Bölgesinde yer almaktadır. Kış mevsiminin sert ve çok soğuk geçtiği bölgede meyvecilik ancak derin vadi tabanlarında yapılabilmektedir. Sahada yetiştirilen meyvelerin başlıcaları; kayısı, elma, armut, ceviz, kiraz ve duttan ibarettir. Ancak toplam meyve ağaçlarının yarısını kayısı oluşturmaktadır. Çünkü kayısının ekonomik getirisi yüksek olduğundan bu meyvenin bahçelerinin kurulması tercih edilmektedir. İlçede meyvecilik klasik usullerle yapılmakta olup, üreticiler teknik bilgilerden yoksundur. Üreticiler ziraat mühendislerinin denetimi ve kontrolünde üretim yaptıkları ve üretilen ürünler, kurulacak olan kooperatif aracılığı ile pazarlandığı takdirde; yöre meyveciliği gerçek değerine ulaşacaktır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Meyvecilik, Meyve ağaçları, pazarlama, kaysı ağacı Abstract: The district of Kağızman is administratively, affiliated to the city of Kars, and located in the East Anatolia Region of are country. Fruit-growing is only possible, in the deep valley bases in the region wite hard and cold winter. Of the fruits grown in the region, the principal ones are apricot, apple, walnut, pear, mulberry and cherry. However, half of the total fruit trees are the apricot trees. This is mainly because of the fact that apricot provides a high amount of economic income. Fruits are grown with classical methodes in the town, where the fruit-growers are not possessed of technical knowledge. If the producers grow their fruits under the guidance and control of the agricultural engineers and manage to sell their products through the cooperative that will be founded fruit-growing will reach a beter and more productive level.
