Abstract :The increasing petrolcüm prices in the world energy market has created inflationary pressures and also the ba-lance of payments problems ali över the vvorld. In this article, the inflationary effects of the world Petroleum pıicc shock of 1974 in Turkey is analyzed in secto-ral level. In general, results of this study indicatc that oil price increases accounts for approximately 10 percent of the va-riation in general price level vvhich occurred in 1974.
