Abstract :The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of barley crushing, wheat crushing and boncalite additives on silage quality in second crop corn silages. For this purpose, corn was planted as a second crop on the field where barley was harvested. Groups as 8 replicates were created by mixing crushed barley, crushed wheat and boncalite additives within chopped corn brought to the laboratory; control without additive (C), 2.5% wheat crushed (2.5 W), 5% wheat crushed (5 W), 2.5% barley crushed (2.5 B), 5% barley crushed (%5 B), 2.5% boncalite (2.5 BNC), 5% boncalite (5 BNC). Silage maturation period was waited for 60 days in closed jars, and chemical analyses and in vitro true digestibility (IVTD) analyses were performed on opened silages. It was determined that silage pH decreased in the barley added group and propionic acid increased with the additives (P 0.05), it was determined that relative forage values increased (P<0.05). As a result, it was found that wheat and barley crushings and boncalite additives as carbohydrate sources in second crop corn silages positively affected the silage quality. In addition, it is considered that conducting digestibility tests on live animals and monitoring their effects would be useful. Keywords : ikinci ürün, kalite, mısır, Silaj, yem
