Abstract :Mikoplazmozis tavuk hastalıkları arasına, ilkin Nelson Hastalı ğı (Maledie de Nelson, Coryza de Nelson, Coryza Type II.) veya Hava Keseleri Hastalığı (Infection des Sacs Aeriens, Air sac disease) adı altında sokuldu ve sonra Kronik Teneffüs Sistemi Hastalığı (La Ma- ladie Respiratoire Chronique des Volailles, Chronic Respiratory Di- sease) veya C.R.D. ye çevrildi. Bu deyimler gösteriyorki hastalığın etiolojisi uzun zaman müphem olarak kalmıştır. Maamafih son sene- lerde yapılan birçok araştırmalarla hastalığın hakiki sebebinin P.P. L.O. gurubundan bir mikroorganizm olduğu meydana kondu. Bunuda Edward Mycoplasma gallisepticum diye adlandırdı ve Brion ile Fon- taine'de Mikoplazmozis tabirinin kullanılmasını teklif e.ttiler.
