Abstract :The present study aimed to identify and establish the relationship between preservice teachers\\\' perceived career barriers and their occupational anxiety levels. The study was conducted with a total of 401 preservice teachers studying different undergraduate level programs/departments at the education faculties of various state universities in Turkey in the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. In this study which was designed on the relational survey design, one of the quantitative research methods, the \\\"Perceived Career Barriers Scale\\\", \\\"Occupational Anxiety Scale\\\" and \\\"Personal Information Form\\\" designed by the researchers were utilized as data collection tools. The data used in the study was collected online via the “Google Forms” after the required permissions were obtained. It was found that the data analyzed on SPSS were in normal distribution and the t-test, ANOVA, Hochberg and Pearson analyzes were all applied. In the results, it was established that the preservice teachers\\\' perceived career barriers were at a low level and their occupational anxiety were at a medium level. Furthermore, positive and low-level significant relationships were identified between preservice teachers\\\' perceived career barriers and their occupational anxiety levels. The results reveal that preservice teachers\\\' anxiety levels augmented the potential barriers such as lack of ability, interest, motivation and inadequate preparation.
