Abstract :This study aims to investigate the relationship between infertility-related stress, life satisfaction and coping strategies in infertile women. This cross-sectional, correlational-descriptive study was conducted with infertile women attending an infertility clinic in Istanbul. Data were collected using the Personal Information Form, Fertility Problem Inventory (FPI), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), and COPE Inventory. The participants exhibited moderate levels of infertility-related stress (131.10±31.49) and slightly above-average life satisfaction (24.96±6.33). It was found that infertile women frequently used emotion-focused coping strategies (61.21±8.83), particularly religious coping. Stress associated with infertility and satisfaction with life levels were significantly different based on marital status, income level, and education level (p<0.05). A negative correlation was found between total FPI scores and SWLS scores (r=-0.359, p<0.001). A positive correlation was also found between non-functional coping strategies in the COPE inventory and total FPI scores (r=0.229, p=0.001). Regression analysis revealed that infertility-related stress significantly reduced life satisfaction, explaining 10.1% of the variance (R²=0.101). Infertility-related stress leads to a decrease in life satisfaction. Women with higher stress levels tend to use non-functional coping strategies more frequently.
