Abstract :This study aimed to evaluate the attitudes of pregnant women towards exercise and the effecting factors. This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted by 222 pregnant women. The data of the study were collected using the Personal Information Form and the Attitude Scale towards Exercise in Pregnancy (ATTS). In the statistical evaluation, descriptive evaluations and Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis, and multiple regression analyses were used. GETS total score average of pregnant women was 124.29±10.26 (min.:86, max.:149), “knowledge and benefit” sub-dimension mean score was 98.85±11.08 (min.:60, max.:114), and the mean score of the “barrier” sub-dimension was determined as 25.44±7.20 (min.:13, max.:56). It was found that pregnant women had a moderately positive attitude towards exercise, and although they had a high level of knowledge about the benefits of exercise during pregnancy, they had a relatively low positive attitude towards exercise during pregnancy.
