Abstract :İlkçağlardan beri Akdeniz sahillerine sülükler gibi yapışarak ekseriyetleri teşkil eden işçi ve çiftçi milletlerin alınteri ve el emeği ile tabiatten istihsal ettikleri servete olanca dessaslığı ile göz dikmiş olan bu tamahkâr millette ahlâkî manada “seciye” aramak mümkin olmadığım görerek hakîki tabiatlerini ifade için “Maya” tabirinden daha münasib bir kelime yoktur.
