Abstract :This article examines the significance of teacher–student collaboration in developing research skills in higher education. In the modern information-oriented society, students are expected not only to acquire knowledge but also to conduct independent research and produce new ideas. Collaboration between teachers and students is viewed as a key pedagogical approach that enhances this process. The article discusses the theoretical foundations of collaboration, its contribution to research competencies, and the effectiveness of traditional, interactive, and digital cooperation models. It highlights how collaborative practices foster critical analysis, creativity, problem-solving, and motivation toward scientific inquiry. Findings indicate that teacher–student collaboration increases students’ interest in academic research, supports independent learning, and improves the overall quality of education. Although the study is theoretical, it emphasizes the need for future empirical research to deepen understanding of collaborative strategies and their practical outcomes. Keywords : öğretmen, öğrenci, iş birliği, eğitim, araştırma becerileri, yükseköğretim
