Abstract :This study employs bibliometric analysis to examine the trends in academic research on sports facilities. Using the Web of Science (WoS) database, a search was conducted with the keyword “sports facilities,” covering publications up to February 2, 2025, yielding a total of 1089 studies. After applying inclusion criteria and conducting a detailed screening, 542 relevant articles were selected for analysis. The study includes descriptive analyses of publications based on publication years, countries, authors, and citation metrics. Additionally, bibliometric techniques such as keyword co-occurrence, co-authorship networks, institutional collaborations, and co-citation mapping were utilized to identify research patterns. The findings indicate a growing research interest in sports facilities in recent years, with concentration in specific countries. Moreover, studies on sports facilities were found to integrate multiple disciplines, including physical infrastructure, accessibility, environmental sustainability, and public health. The results contribute to identifying research trends, addressing gaps in the literature, and providing insights for future studies in the field.
