Abstract :Gelir eşitsizliği ve yoksullukla mücadelede çok önemli bir sosyal politika aracı olan asgari ücret Türkiye’de son yıllarda genel ücret düzeyinin asgari ücret düzeyine yakınsamasına yol açan bir işlev görüyor. Asgari ücret artışı bir bütün olarak genel ücret düzeyini yükseltmiyor, tersine, ortalama ücret düzeyi ile asgari ücret arasındaki fark kapanıyor ve ortalama ücret düzeyi genel ücret düzeyine yakınsıyor.
