Abstract :Objective: This research examined the knowledge and behaviors of healthcare professionals in operating rooms regarding radiation protection. Materials and Methods: In the study, data were collected from 100 healthcare workers using a face-to-face interview technique, applying the Descriptive Information Form and Radiation Protection Knowledge Scale for Healthcare Workers. In the research, average standard deviation values and parametric tests such as the Tukey and t-tests were applied. Results: 51% of the healthcare professionals participating in the research were female, and their average age was 30.81±8.10. When the average distribution of radiation protection knowledge was examined, it was determined that 51% had a low knowledge level, and 49% had a high knowledge level. A significant difference was detected between the employees\\\' education level, occupation type, and radiation protection knowledge. Although 71% of healthcare workers know all the radiation protective equipment used in the operating room, 60% of them do not always use all the protective equipment to protect themselves from radiation. Conclusions: These results show a need for a more comprehensive and frequently organized training program specific to the type of profession and improved strategies for more effective use of protective equipment. Keywords : Ameliyathane, çalışan güvenliği, radyasyondan korunma, sağlık çalışanı
