Abstract :This study thoroughly investigates the awareness and opinions of undergraduate tour guiding students in Turkiye regarding the amendments made in 2024 to the professional law of tour guiding. The research was conducted using qualitative research methods, specifically the interview technique. The sample of the study was selected through the convenience sampling method and consists of 30 undergraduate students in tour guiding. The data were analyzed using the content analysis method. The findings reveal concerns that these amendments will negatively impact the nature of the profession. Students agree that such regulations will lower professional standards and adversely affect the quality of the guiding profession. Additionally, some students stated that the removal of the foreign language requirement might negatively affect the capacity of guides to serve international tourists. This situation is thought to lead to a decline in service quality in the tourism sector and a decrease in Turkiye’s competitiveness in the international tourism market. Keywords : Turist rehberliği, meslek kanunu, mevzuat, içerik analizi.
