Abstract :The aim of this research is to examine the effect of blockchain technology, which is a new solution proposal for foreign trade transactions to be more sustainable and effective, on foreign trade transactions. Understanding the potentials of blockchain technology in terms of sustainability and effectiveness of foreign trade transactions, seeing sample applications, researching its effects on productivity and contributing to the literature are determined as other purposes. For this purpose, systematic literature review method was used. Analysis was made according to the researches obtained from the relevant databases. According to the systematic review results, blockchain technology has significant potential for foreign trade transactions. Blockchain technology contributes to the effective use of resources and time in foreign trade transactions, reduction of waste, reduction of transaction costs, fast and easy handling of financial- goods- service flows in the national and international arena, and reduction of carbon emissions, resulting in a higher, more efficient supply chain and leads to a sustainable corporate performance.
