Abstract :The problem of creating a congenial school environment, ordinarily termed as Safe School, has unveiled learning traumas on learners in schools. A positive school is a school with a learning environment embracing the climate for learners to feel wanted, valued, acceptable, secured and can interact with caring people they trust. When the climate of a school is positive, the achievement of its well-being is so easier. Well-being is just the comfort, contentment, happiness, health, intelligence and safety. Safe school is an aspect of positive school, where distractions such as bullying, corporal punishments are minimized, here students are not discriminated from the fear of the wrongs they do and are always not ready to accept their mistakes. Positive school therefore includes the overall school structural environment, its maintenance, students contributions to classroom activities, project works, assignments and their active involvement in homework’s and teachers total commitment in ensuring safer school environment. Positive school can better be achieved when teachers play their role as teachers, students play their roles as students and parents also playing their roles as parents or guardians. Creation of positive school would need the involvement of all stakeholders, the government, teachers, learners, and the parents. There have been a policy allover, redefining positive school and wellbeing. The policy seems to highlight only on Safe School! Where some prohibitions were made to reduce certain punishments in school. Safe school seems to be centered only on corporal punishments. My paper is to deal with some impact of safe school on the vulnerable and less privilege students. Educational Policies are to be refined at each cycle of education. I chose this topic because, the effects of safe school has an initial unpleasant outcomes.
