Abstract :Since the beginning of Vladimir Putin’s term in 2000, the Near Abroad Doctrine issued in April 1993 prioritizing the reestablishment of multidimensional relations with the for- mer USSR region has been forming the chief foreign policy line with Aleksandr Dugin’s Neo-Eurasianism Doctrine. In Dugin’s doctrine, one of the countries that have been high- lighted is Turkey. Turkey is located as a bridge between Asian and European states which has granted it unique responsibility to resolve regional conflicts by political and economic means. The Turkish-Russian relations have improved significantly since the start of the proxy war in Syria and Euro-Atlantic sanctions on Moscow regarding the latter’s Ukraine policy, and this rapprochement has caused discussions about cooperating on several grand projects namely the Turkish Stream, Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant and Russian-made S-400 long range missile system.
