Abstract :Nowadays, more than 80 % of CO2 emissions are produced by electricity and heat generation, transportation, and industry due to their energy demand. Clean energy improvement is necessary to mitigate climate change that is caused by greenhouse gas emissions to supply energy and maintain the economic development of civilizations. Hydrogen is a miscellaneous fuel serving a wide range of applications such as heating/cooling, power generation, energy storage, and transportation. Due to its wide range of usage and carbon-free nature, hydrogen offers a low-carbon energy structure and economy for the future. Renewable energy systems have received more attention recently because of contributing low-carbon energy supply. This study provides a review of the evolution of renewable energy throughout hydrogen energy. This paper aims to represent briefly, the current status and future forecasting of hydrogen energy as a low carbon energy source have been evaluated. In this view, applications of hydrogen energy will be represented worldwide and in Turkey.
