Apology In Daily Life And At Work: Does It Really Matter In Establishing Relationships?

Abstract :The main purpose of this research is to discover and analyze the situations related to making an apology in daily life and in the business world. The sample size consists of 91participants in a foundation university in Izmir, along with the use of a structured interview technique. Results mainly reveal that a significant number of respondents lacks the awareness of making a full apology to another person, neglecting the proper way of apologizing, explaining the situation in detail, being sincere, and making it up to the person. The findings of this research can enlighten future studies related to apology in daily life and at work.
