Abstract :The Naqshbandi Order has been one of the most important socio-political forces in the predominantly secular history of the Republic of Türkiye. Of all order reorganizations in Turkey, the Naqshbandi Order has always drawn more attention since it suggests political activism. The Naqshbandi Order never remained detached from major social developments; thus, the order can easily be distinguished from any other orders with this “political activism” principle. The Extensive political influence of the order in Turkey dates back to the last two centuries. Apart from political activism, “Contextual Adaptability” is another important principle of the order. The order adopts an active role in politics and follows different methods to realize its purposes that are suitable for every political representation and period of the country. With these qualities and its urban followers, the Naqshbandi Order has always managed to survive. This study focuses on the foundation, historical development, general qualities and notable communities of the Naqshbandi Order and evaluates the influence of the order on the Ottoman and Turkish politics from 1836 to 1950. This study also includes the relations between the National Outlook Movement and the Iskenderpasa Community, an important community of the Naqshbandi Order. Keywords : Nakşibendi Tarikatı, Zaman-Mekan Uyumu, Siyasal Aktivizm, Halidiyye Geleneği, İskenderpaşa Cemaati, Milli Görüş Hareketi
