Abstract :Annelerin Emzirmeyi Sonlandırma Yöntemleri ve Sonlandırma Kararlarını Etkileyen Faktörler Amaç: Araştırma annelerin emzirmeyi sonlandırma yöntemleri ve sonlandırma kararlarını etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipteki araştırma, Konya’da iki Aile Sağlığı Merkezi’nde 268 anne ile yapılmıştır. Veriler anket formu kullanılarak yüz yüze toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ki-kare, sayı, yüzde, ortalama ve standart sapma değerleri kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Annelerin emzirme süresinin ortalama 17,39±7,24 ay olduğu, %13,1’inin ilk altı ayda emzirmeyi sonlandırdığı, %39,2’sinin geleneksel yöntemler kullandığı ve %41,8’inin memeye siyah boya sürdüğü belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%86,2); ilk 15 gün içerisinde emzirmeyi sonlandırmada başarılı olduğu saptanmıştır. Uzun süre yaşanılan yer, çocuğun yaşı ve emzirmeyi sonlandırmada zorlanma ile geleneksel yöntem kullanımı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0,05);. Emzirmeyi sonlandırmaya karar vermelerinde bebeğin ek gıdalarla beslenmeye alışması insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%50,0);, iki yaşına gelmesi insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%42,9); ve gece/gündüz çok sık emmesine bağlı annede yorgunluk oluşturmasının insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%39,9); önemli olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Özellikle birinci basamak sağlık hizmetlerinde çalışan hemşirelerin emzirmeyi sonlandırma konusunda annelere bilgi ve eğitim vermeleri, destek ve danışmanlık yapmaları önerilmektedir. Methods of Termination of Breastfeeding and Factors Affecting Their Decisions to End Breastfeeding Objective: The research was conducted to determine the methods of mothers to terminate breastfeeding and the factors affecting their decision to terminate. Method: The descriptive study was conducted with 268 mothers in two Family Health Centers in Konya. Data were collected face to face using a questionnaire. Chi-square, number, percentage, mean and standard deviation values were used in the analysis of the data. Results: It was determined that the average duration of breastfeeding of the mothers was 17.39±7.24 months, 13.1% of them stopped breastfeeding in the first six months, 39.2% of them used traditional methods and 41.8% of them applied black paint to the breasts. It was determined that the participants insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(86,2%); were successful in terminating breastfeeding within the first 15 days. It was determined that there is a significant relationship between the place of residence for a long time, the age of the child, and the difficulty in terminating breastfeeding and the use of traditional methods insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0,05);. It was determined that it was important for the baby to get used to feeding with additional foods insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(50,0%);, to reach the age of two insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(42,9%);, and to cause fatigue in the mother insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(39,9%); due to the fact that she suckled too often during the night or day. Conclusion: It is recommended that nurses working in primary health care services, in particular, provide information, training, support and counseling to mothers about terminating breastfeeding.
