Abstract :Rölyef, değişik malzeme yüzeylerinde yükseltme veya çökertme yoluyla nesnelerin, figürlerin boyutlandırılması şeklinde meydana getirilen heykel formudur. Rölyefte görüntü yüzeyden yalnızca kısmî olarak yükselen hacimsel bir şekil ile oluşturulur. Heykelde olduğu gibi rölyef de üç boyuttan oluşmaktadır, ancak üçüncü boyut daraltılmıştır. Tarihî süreçte oyulmuş rölyef, barölyef insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(alçak rölyef); ve Urölyef insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(yüksek kabartma); olarak üç türe ayrılır. Ancak bazı çalışmalarda bu üç tür rölyef çeşidi bir arada kullanılmıştır. Ama böyle olsa da her üç tür de kendi özelliğini, karakterini sergilemekte ve sonuçta onlar da üç basamak dâhilinde, yani arka plan, orta plan ve ön plan olarak. Perspektif kurallarına bağlı oluşturulmuşlardır. Rölyef heykel, binlerce yıldır çeşitli sanat dallarına mensup sanatçılar için uygulama alanı olarak işlev görmüştür. Çalışmada bu üç rölyef heykel türü hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra, rölyef heykelin meydana getirilmesinin üç aşaması veya üç boyutu yassılaştırmanın kuralları, uygulama örnekleri üzerinden anlatılacaktır. Three Steps in the Preparation of the Relief Sculpture Base Abstract Relief is a sculpture form, which is created by dimensioning objects or figures through the formation of various material surfaces via raising and lowering techniques. The image in relief is given through volumetric shape being raised partly on the plane. Similar to sculpture, relief consists of three dimensions; however, the third dimension is narrowed down. In the historical process, relief is divided into three types; namely, carved relief insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(intaglio);, bas-relief insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(low relief);, alto-relievo insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(high relief);. Nevertheless, these three relief types are used together in some works of art. Even so, all three types reveal their own features and characteristics, and are finally formed according to perspective rules within the scope of three steps which are called background, mid-ground and foreground. Relief sculpture has functioned as a field of application for artists of various art branches for thousands of years. Following the information on these three types of relief sculptures, the three steps in creating a relief sculpture or the flattening technique of the three dimensions are revealed in this study through application samples.Keywords : Rölyef, heykel, üç boyutluluk
