Abstract :The goal of this study was to determine the effects of cultivars in different sowing densities on yield, yield components and some morphological traits of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.). Field experiment was carried out in experimental area at the Agriculture Faculty of Bingöl (Turkiye) in 2016 spring season. A complete blocks design in two cultivar Güneysarısı and Arda were in main plots, whereas five sowing densities (20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 seed m-2) were in sub plots. The results showed that sowing densities significantly affected emergence rate, days to flowering, biological and grain yield, while plant height, number of pods, first pod height, number of brunches per plant, harvest index and thousand grain weights were not affected sig-nificantly. The cultivar x sowing density interaction was found to be insignificant except for grain yield. The highest grain yield, 86.26 kg da-1, was obtained from the 60 seeds m-2 sowing density of the Güneysarısı cultivar, and the regression equation was determined as linear. Moreover, 9 mm-1 sieve analysis was found to be significant in terms of both sowing density and cultivar. Keywords : ekim sıklığı, elek analizi, nohut, tane verimi, verim unsurları
