Abstract :The History of pharmacy which is an important branch of medicine extends far back into the darknesses of antiquity because the first man in his first moment of pain must have turned to himself in se-.arch of a remedy and with a thought for experimentation. As in other .fields of learning, if we consider the leading role of animal instincts we .may as well say that history of pharmacy, just like history of medicine, is as old as life.
