Abstract :Six alkaloids, allocryptopine, corydine, isocorydine, isocorytuberine, Nmethylcanadine and protopine have been isolated from two samples of Glauciurn grandiflorurn Boiss. et Huet var. grandiflorurn collected from Bolu and Sivas.In the Flora of Turkey, Glauciurn gl-andiflorurn has two varieties, I. var.grandiflorurn and var. torquahtrn, of which the latter is an endemic one. 1II Attention has long been paid to Glauciurn species for their glaucine content since this allcaloit is known to have an antitussive property.
