Abstract :The interaction of humanity with nature and the use of natural spaces in line with their needs have directed people toward spatial solutions that are compatible with the surrounding environment and nature while meeting their requirements. In this context, landscape design, which aims to develop outdoor design proposals that align with ecological characteristics and address both functional and aesthetic needs, has become a significant sub-discipline within landscape architecture. The landscape design process involves translating decisions made during planning into the most suitable spatial solutions. Nature-compatible landscape designs, which place importance on preserving natural areas and prevent degradation, provide solutions by considering the ecological and natural features of landscape spaces. These nature-compatible ecological designs, which are essential in urban areas, are developed today through landscape designs in large urban spaces, open areas, urban green spaces, or protected zones. Particularly, the development and utilization of large areas integrated with nature and connected to urban spaces through landscape design contribute significantly to both cities and their users. Based on this premise, this study developed an approach to landscape design for large areas, identifying uses that are nature-compatible and cause minimal harm to the environment. Within the scope of this study, detailed landscape design proposals, including a site plan and visual support, were presented for a selected area in the Muğla province. In the study, a nature-compatible landscape design project sample was revealed on a forest area within the borders of Muğla province. Keywords : Doğal alan, Ekoloji, Peyzaj tasarımı, Muğla
