Abstract :The disintegration and fall of the Ottoman Caliphate during the period between 1908 and 1922 had a significant impact on the countries associated with it, not only on Egypt but also on the wider Islamic and Arab world. Despite the mistakes committed by the Ottomans during this period, Egypt experienced a period of prosperity in terms of its economy, education, culture, and politics. Since the rise of Western colonialism in the nineteenth century, the emergence of secularism became evident, fueled by the contributions of intellectuals. Consequently, Egyptian society has become divided.
