Abstract :Autonomy has been considered as one of the key notions in foreign language learning and teaching over the past decades. In recent years, the understanding of autonomy has been expanded because of the increasing importance of identity and agency in EFL learning/teaching and the interrelation of these three concepts has started to be discussed.
