Abstract :The effects of anticonvulsant medication insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Diphenylhydantoin and Carbamazepin); on the serum Ca and Mg levels of epileptics ✓The effects of Diphenylhydantoin and Carbamazepine of the serum Ca and Mg levels of epi¬leptic patients has been studied. 15 untreated epileptics were followed from the begining of therapy. The patients blood samples were taken before and after 3 months of anticonvulsant therapy. Healthy control group were consist of 15 volunteers. Patient and healthy control groups serum Ca and Mg levels were measured atomic absorbtion spectrophotometrically. There was no significant differences of Ca and Mg levels in serum between the patient and healthy control groups insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p>0.05);. There was also no significant differences of Ca and Mg levels in serum of patients before and after the anticonvulsant therapy insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p>0.05);, ✓Epilepsili hastalarda antikonvulsan tedavinin Serum Ca ve Mg düzeylerine olan etkisi araştırıldı. Hiç tedavi görmemiş olan 15 epileptik hastanın tedavi öncesi ve 3 ay tedavi uygula¬masından sonra kan örnekleri alındı ve Serum Ca ve Mg düzeylerine bakıldı. Ayrıca kontrol grubu olarak 15 sağlıklı gönüllünün kan serumlarında da Ca ve Mg düzeyleri ölçüldü. Hasta ve kontrol grubunda ölçülen Ca ve Mg değerleri birbirleriyle mukayese edildiğinde ara¬larında anlamlı derecede bir fark gözlenmedi insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p>0.05);. Aynı şekilde tedavi öncesi ve sonrası hasta grubunda da Ca ve Mg değerleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık saptanamadı insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p>0.05);.
