Tip II Diabetes Mellituslu Hastalarda Serum Tiroid Hormonları Ve Kortizol Düzeyinin Araştırılması

Abstract :Evaluation of serum thyroid hormones and. Cortisol levels in patients with type 11 diabetes mellutus. v? Changes in thyroid hormone levels in many euthyroid patients with nonthyroidal diseases have been reported. This study is planned to show the effects of clinical picture on cortisol and thyroid hormones in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. 13 patients with type II dia¬betes mellitus without complications, 31 with chronic complications, 22 with acute complica¬tions and II control subjects are studied and results are compared. Serum T4. fT4 and TSH levels did not differ satistically in all 4 groups, fT3 levels were significantly lower in all diabet¬ic groups than the control group, the lowest levels in the acute complication group, T3 levels were significantly lower in patients with acute complications than the other 3 groups. There was a negative correlation between blood sugar levels and T3, fT3 and fT4 levels and a positive correlation between. cortisol and blood sugar levels. A negative correlation existed between cortisol and T3 levels. Tiroid dışı akut veya kronik hastalığı olan bazı hastalarda serum tiroid hormonlarında değişiklikler olduğu gösterilmiştir. Diabetli hastalarda klinik tablonun bu hormonlar ve korti¬zol üzerine etkisi olup olmadığını göstermek amacıyla bu araştırma planlandı. Hiç komplikasyonu olmayan 13, kronik komplikasyonu olan 31, akut komplikasyonlu 22 tip II -diabetik has¬ta ile 11 kişilik kontrol grubunun değerleri karşılaştırıldı. Serum T4, serbest T4 ve TSH düzeyleri arasında 4 grupta da fark yoktu. Serbest T3 düzeyleri bütün diabetik gruplarda kontroldan düşük bulundu, en düşük akut komplikasyonlu grupta idi. Akut komplikasyonlularda serum T3 düzeyi diğer 3 gruptan önemli derecede düşüktü. Kan şekeri ile T3, serbest T3 ve serbest T4 arasında negatif korrelasyon, kortizol ve kan şekeri arasında pozitif korrelasyon bulundu. Kortizol ve T3 arasında bir negatif korrelasyon vardı.
