Abstract :A PROSPECTIVE STUDY 121 BABYES WITH PROLONGED WAUNDICE ✓ In this study 121 neonates with prolonged jaundice were evaluated for the possible case of hyperbilirubinemia. Their growth patterns and hemoglobine values were compared to those ob¬tained in babies. The etiology of jaundice was found in 32.9 % of babies who had the bilirubin levels less than 12 mg/dl and in 79.5 % of the babies who had bilirubin levels more than 12 mg/dl. The mortality rate was 6.2% in the study group. There is no significant differance with regard to growth patterns in the survived babies of the study group and in control group. ✓ KTÜ Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesine uzamış sarılık şikayeti ile başvuran 1221 bebek sanlık sebep¬leri yönünden araştırıldı. Büyüme ve gelişme ve hemoglobin değerleri yönünden sanlığı olmayan bebeklerle karşılaştırıldı. Uzamış sanlığı olan bebeklerde total bilirubin seviyesi 12 mg/dl`nin - altında olan bebeklerin % 32.9`unda sanlık sebebi bulunurken, 12 mg/dl`nin üstünde olan be¬beklerin % 79.5`unda sarılık sebebi saptandı insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p 0.05);.
