Abstract :The Morphometric Examination Of The Median Nerve And Its Branches In Infant %/ Sixty upper extremities of infant cadaver were dissected under a loupe and stereomicros-cope magnification to investigate the median nerve. A line insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Hueter`s line); connecting the medial epicondyle and the lateral epicondyle of the humerus was referenced for measure-ment. The median nerve didn`t give any branch on the arm. The branches of the median nerve in the forearm are as follows: 1- The branch to the pronator teres muscle insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PT); arose from the median nerve in the level of Hueter`s line. This muscle receive one to three branches. One branch was seen in 38.3 percent, two branches were present in 51.7 percent and three in 10 percent. So¬metimes, branches to the pronator teres leave the median nerve together with those to the flexor carpi radialis, the flexor digitorum sup. and the palmaris longus. 2- The common branch to the flexor carpi radialis, the flexor digitorum sup. and the pal-maris longus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(FCR+FDS+PL); had this form and in 83.3 percent arose from the median nerve 0.64 cm below Hueter`s line. The branch to the FCR was alone in 16.7 percent and arose directly from the median nerve 0.06 cm below Hueter`s line from the me¬dian nerve. 3- The anterior interosseus nerve was only one branch in 90.91 percent and originated 1.36 cm below Hueter`s line from the median nerve. This branch arose in 5.45 percent together with those to branch to the FCR, the FDS and the PL, in 3.64 percent with the FDS. 4- The branches to the flexor digitorum superiîcialis were one to five branches insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(one branch 11.75, two branches 36.6, three branches 6.7 and four branches 6.7 percent);, which are found 0.88 to 4.10 cm. below Hueter`s line from the median nerve. 5- The palmar cutaneous branch arose 5.57 cm. below Hueter`s line from the median nerve. Bu çalışmada 30 adet yenidoğan kadavrasının sağ ve sol üst ekstremiteleri kullanıldı. Hueter`s çizgisinin üzeri insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(+);, altı ise insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(-); olarak işaretlendi. Koldaki yapılara giden herhangi bir dal tespit edilemedi. Önkoldaki yapılara giden belli başlı dallar ise şöyleydi: 1- Pronator teres dalı insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PT);: Ortalama olarak 0 cm`den orijin alan bu dalı %38.3 oranında bir, %51.7 oranında iki veya %10 oranında üç ayrı dal olarak n.medianus`tan çıkmaktaydı. PT dalı %5 oranında PT+[FCR insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(m.flexor carpi radialis dalı); + FDS insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(m.flexor dig. sup. dalı); + PL insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(m.palmaris longus dab);] şeklinde çıkmaktaydı. 2- FCR+FDS+PL ortak dalı: Ortalama olarak -0.64 cm`den ayrılmaktaydı ve %83.3 oranında ortak bir dal şeklindeydi. FCR dalı %16.7 oranında direkt n.medianus`dan -0.06 cm`den ayrılıyor ve tekti. 3- N.interosseus anterior insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(İA);: %90.91 oranında tek olarak ve ortalama -1.36 cm`den ori¬jin almıştı. %5.45 oranında İA+insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(FCR+FDS+PL); şeklinde, %3.64 oranında ise İA+FDS şeldinde direkt n.medianus`dan ayrılmıştı. 4- M.flexor digitorum superiîcialis insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(FDS); dalları: FCR+FDS+PL şeklindeki dallanmanın dışında direkt median sinirden bir ve birden fazla sayıda orijine de sahiptirler. %11.76 oranında tek, %36.6 iki, %38.3 üç, %6.7 dört ve %6.7 beş ayrı dal olarak ortalama -0.88 ile -4.10 cm. uzaklıktan n.medianus`dan orijin almaktaydı. 5- Ramus cutaneous palmaris insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(RCP);: Ortalama-5.57 cm.`den orijin almaktaydı.Keywords :
