Abstract :Genitourinary Tuberculosis i/ Genitourinary tract is the third most common site of extrapulmonary tuberculosis, after lymphatic tissue and pleura. There is a long time between primary pulmonary infection and clinical appearence of genitourinary tuberculosis. Symptoms are frequently related to the lower urinary tract. Treatment of the genitourinary tuberculosis is mainly medical but sometimes surgical excision of infected organ or surgical reconstruction of the complica-tions may be necessary. Genitoüriner sistem, lenfatik doku ve plevradan sonra üçüncü sıradaki ekstrapulmoner tüberküloz yerleşim bölgesidir. Primer pulmoner infeksiyondan sonra genitoüriner tüberküloz belirtilerinin ortaya çıkması için geçen süre oldukça uzundur. Semptomlar sıklıkla alt üriner sisteme aittir. Genitoüriner sistem tüberkülozunun tedavisi esas olarak übbidir; bazan infekte organın çıkarılması veya infeksiyonun neden olduğu komplikasyonlann cerrahi olarak düzeltilmesi gerekebilir.
