Abstract :Skin Necrosis Induced by Meningococcemic Septicemia: Case Report Meningococcemic septicemia is a severe life threatening illness. It is associated with systemic thromboembolic complications, as well as with extensive tissue necrosis throughout the body and the development of peripheral gangrene. Our case was a six years old girl, had extensive skin necrosis on whole body due to meningococcemic septicemia. She was treated appropriate debridement and dressings. Large areas of tissue necrosis were grafted after debridement. Conservative management sufficed in remaining minor areas of tissue necrosis. Wound healing was normal at two months post-operatively. In this paper, we presented a case with extensive skin necrosis induced by meningococcemic septicemia and discussed surgical treatment modalities of meningococcemic septicemia. Meningokoksemik septisemi, hayatı tehdit eden ciddi bir hastalıktır. Bu hastalık, vücudun her yerinde oluşabilen geniş cilt nekrozları ve periferik kangren gelişimi gibi, sistemik trom-bo-embolik komplikasyonlarla beraberdir. Altı yaşında kız çocuğu olan olgumuzun meningokoksemik septisemiye bağlı tüm vücudunda yaygın cilt nekrozları mevcuttu. Debritman ve pansumanlar ile olgu takip edildi. Doku nekrozunun fazla olduğu bölgelerde debritmam takiben cilt grefti ile defektler kapatıldı. Doku nekrozunun az olduğu bölgelerde konservatif yaklaşım yeterli oldu. Ameliyat sonrası ikinci ayda yara iyileşmesi normal sınırlar içerisinde idi. Bu yazıda meningokoksal septisemi sonrası yaygın cilt nekrozları olan bir olguyu sunarak, meningokoksal septiseminin cerrahi tedavi yöntemlerini gözden geçirdik.
