Abstract :The findings regarding effects of soil tillage treatments on soil properties, emergence and yield show significant differ-ences depend on regional conditions and period. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of three tillage systems on planting performance in a loam soil insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(typic Xerofluvent); for two sunflower cropping years insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2001 and 2004); under the three years rotation system insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Sunflower insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Helianthus annuus L.);-Barley insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Hordeum vulgare L.);-Hungarian vetch insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Vicia pannonica Crantz); and Triticale. Tillage treatments were chisel plowing, chisel plowing and disc harrowing, and chisel plowing and combine harrowing. The emergence percentage of seeds sown, the percentage of plants that have the acceptable seedling interval, the percent-age of jumping, and the percentage of double seedling for two cropping years were used as the characteristics of planting performance. Also, the distribution of dry aggregates insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(>19, 19-9.5, 9.5-4.75, 4.75- 2, 2-1, 1-0.5, 0.5-0.25, 0.25- 0.053, 0.053> mm); was determined in the soil samples that were taken of 0-20 cm depth. Although the emergence percentages of seeds sown with secondary tillage treatments increased, the characteristics of planting performance were not showed a significant differ-ence among tillage treatments. While the statistical significant difference was not determined among tillage systems in the pre-vious of secondary tillage, It was found that the difference at 0.05 significant level was obtained among tillage systems in the post of secondary tillage. It is not recommended to abandon of secondary tillage operations in dry conditions due to the higher emergence percentages of seeds sown in the chisel plowing and combine harrowing treatment and the limited changes in the aggregation among tillage systems.
