Determination of The Effect of Fan Blade Types on Separation Performance for Local Type Thresher

Abstract :This study was aimed to determine the effect of the two different blade types insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(K1 =40°; K1 =90°);, three different fan rotation number insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(A1=925 min-1; A2=833 min-1; A3=735 min-1); and three different eccentric rotation number insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(E1=357 min-1; E2=312 min-1; E3=277 min-1); on separation insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(cleaning); performance for local type thresher. For this purpose, the effects of blade types, the ratio of fan and eccentric rotation number from independent parameters to total grain losses ratio insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(damaged grain separa-tion ratio, cleaning losses ratio, unthreshed out grain ratio); and cleaning ratio were determined. Air velocity, damaged grain separation ratio, cleaning losses ratio, unthreshed out grain ratio, total grain losses ratio, cleaning ratio in K1 blade type varied as 12.63...15.51 ms-1, 0.75...1.18 %, 0.27...2.56 %,0.34...0.66 %,1.78...4.19 %, 95.39...98.35 %, in K2 blade type16.75...20.81 ms-1,0.76...1.05 %,0.32...2.38 %,0.29...0.71 %,1.64...3.68 %, 97.17...99.17 % respectively. The more homegeneous air velocity profilles, higher air velocity, air flow rate, cleaning ratio, lower total grain losses ratio values were obtained at K2 blade type. The most suitable working combination was determined as K2A3E3.
