Abstract :This research was established to investigate growth facilities of double crop under Konya climatic conditions. For this purpose a field experiment was established in 1992 (August-September-October) in Central Animal Research Institute. Under the irrigated conditions and following grain crop harvest; barley-field pea, barley-common vetch, oat-field pea and oat-common vetch mixtures were grown as a double crops. Green herbage yield and the crude protein contents of the mixtures had been evaluated. The field trials as a complete randomized block design with three replications were applied. The rationes of cereal and legume seeds in the mixture were arranged as 1/3 and 2/3 respectively. The seed mixtures were sowed directly into the fallow without tillage (zero tillage) and with tillage immediately after wheat harvest. The sowing and harvesting dates were August 5, and November 10, 1992 respectively. The highest herbage yields were obtained from barley-common vetch (1296.66 kg/da) mixture sowed directly to the fallow without tillage and barley-field pea (890.00 kg/da) sowed after tillage respectively. The results showed that sowing the double crop seed mixture directly to the fallow immidiately after harvest without tillage was better than that of sowing after soil tillage procedure. Keywords : ANIZ, TOHUM, TAHIL+ BAKLAGİL
