Abstract :In this research, the effect of furrow and drip irrigation method and 4 different N dosage to the yield and yield components of sunflower were examined. AS.503 sunflower variety as a test crop, ammonium sulphate (%21 N) and ammonium nitrate (%33 N) manure for N source were used. This research, including furrow and drip irrigation 4 N dosage (0-5-10-15 kgNda¹) with 4 tines repeating (2X4X4) were carried out in 32 plot of land with using split pilot method between 1998-1999 for 2 years. The main object of this research, half of the N dosage were applied as ammonium sulphate (%21 N) form, while the preparing of land, the other half of the dosage were applied as ammonium nitrate (%33 N) form, while the crop reach 25-30 cm length. When the crop had reached 4-6 leaf period, the irrigation was started and irrigation period were determined based on land moisture decreased into % 50. For both irrigation method, the needs of water which determined were applied in control after double-check with using meter. In harvesting time, while the crops that reached harvesting level, were harvested meanwhile, yield, 1000 seed weight, dry material, hule ratio, plant height, head diameter, stem diameter, stem yield, seed length and oil ratio were determined. In the conclusion, statistical analysis were applied to the 2 years data and with using drip irrigation method and 10 kg N dosage were found as preferable. Keywords : Karık ve damla sulama, nitrojen, ayçiçeği, verim
